ST PETERSBURG AND NOVGOROD THE GREAT 6 days Day Upon arrival at St.Petersburg, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and dinner Day After breakfast in the hotel you will have a city tour, during which you will see the main landmarks of St.Petersburg, such as Peter and Paul Fortress, St.Isaac's Cathedral, Palace Square and Nevsky Prospekt. After lunch, you will have a guided tour of the Hermitage Museum, the Tsars' former winter palace, which houses perhaps the most fabulous collection of painting and applied arts in the world. Day After breakfast you will have free time to explore the city on your own, followed by an afternoon rehearsal and evening concert. Day You will start this morning with a guided tour of Rimsky-Korsakov Apartment-Museum, containing over 250 personal items of the composer, followed by a visit to Alexander Nevsky Lavra Necropolis, where Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Mussorgsky, Borodin, Glinka and other famous Russian composers are buried.
Day 5 NOVGOROD THE GREAT Early in the morning you will depart by coach (ca. 4 hours) for Novgorod the Great, founded in the 10th century and extremely rich in native art treasures and monuments. Upon arrival you will have a city tour including the walking tour of the ancient Kremlin, where you will see the Cathedral of St.Sofia, one of the finest examples of early Russian architecture.
