CLASSICAL SIBERIA

Our nine-day  tour will allow you to venture into Eastern and Western Siberia as well the Russian Far East. Founded near the turn of the 20th century on the River Ob’, Novosibirsk quickly became the third largest city in Russia. The city has important mathematics schools and computer centres, as well as ample cultural opportunities, furnished with theatres, art galleries, a conservatory and an Opera House. With the cultural heritage of its aristocratic exiles, the Asiatic influences of nearby Mongolia and China, and the easy accessibility of Lake Baikal, Irkutsk is one of the most appealing cities on the Trans-Siberian trail. Khabarovsk, situated in Russia’s Far East, at the confluence of the Amur River and its tributary, the Ussuri, has the air almost of a coastal resort and boasts some very attractive 19th-century brick architecture.
