This tour gives you a deep insight into the life of St.Petersburg, one of the world’s most beautiful cities famous for its picturesque settings and impressive architecture. It focuses on the world famous parks and gardens of the former Imperial capital of Russia.

 

DAY 1

Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.

 

DAY 2

You will begin this day with the city tour including Nevsky Prospect, the Square of Fine Arts, St.Isaac’s Square, Vasili Island and other famous sights. After an independent lunch in a local café you will visit the Botanical Gardens, founded by Peter the Great as a source of medicinal herbs.

 

DAY 3

In the morning you will have a guided tour of the Hermitage museum, one of the world’s largest art museums with over 3,000,000 exhibits.Petrhof regular park After an independent lunch in a local café you will drive to Peterhof, a summer residence of the Russian Royal family, where you will walk through the formal Upper Garden, framed by borders and hedges,  see the vegetable garden of Peter the Great and  explore the wooded Lower Park, with its four fabulous cascades and over 150 various fountains.

 

DAY 4

You will have a full day excursion to Tsar’s Village (the town of Pushkin) with a guided visit to Catherine’s Palace where you will see the opulent Gold Rooms and the Amber Room, the 8th wonder of the world. Lunch will be served in the Admiralty Restaurant, a former garden pavilion. In the afternoon you will take a walk through the Catherine Park, characterised by three styles of landscape gardening: French, English and Italian.

 

DAY 5

This morning you will take a tour to Pavlovsk, the former summer residence of the Russian Emperor Paul I, where you will visit the elegant Neoclassical Palace. After lunch in the Palace café you will have a walk through the Park, the largest landscaped park in Europe with numerous temples, colonnades and bridges, and visit the Rose Pavilion, where the banquet devoted to the victory of Russia over Napoleon took place.

 

DAY 6

Transfer to the airport.
