INSIDER’S ST.PETERSBURG IN 3 DAYS

This tour is designed for cruise passengers and other short-time visitors to St.Petersburg. It combines visiting the best museums of St.Petersburg with a unique opportunity to paint your own Russian souvenir, matryoshka doll, and meet a Russian family. During this tour you will see the State Hermitage Museum, the 1st house of the city, fountains and the Royal Bath House in Peterhof, magnificent cathedrals.

Day 1
Morning guided city tour during which you will see the best of the city: Nevsky Prospect, the main street, the Square of Fine Arts and the Church on the Spilt Blood, Vasiliy Island with Rostral Columns and the former Stock Exchange, Senate Square and the Bronze Horseman. You will also visit the Log Cabin of Peter the Great, the 1st house of the city, and St.Isaac’s Cathedral with its stunning mosaics and malachite columns.
Lunch independent in a local café or restaurant.
In the afternoon you will have the guided tour of the highlights of the Hermitage Museum: the incomparable State Rooms of the Winter Palace and the best of Italian, Dutch and French art collections.

Day 2
You will spend this day in the suburbs of St.Petersburg visiting Peterhof, Russian Versailles, the former summer residence of the Russian Tsars, where you will have the guided tour of the Lower Park with 150 fountains and the Royal Bath House, where you will learn about traditional Russian sauna, equally popular among commoners and royalty.
Lunch independent in a local café or restaurant.
After lunch you will visit a reconstructed Russian Village, the cultural centre of Russian arts and crafts, where you will make your own souvenir from Russia and paint your matryoshka doll.
Car/minivan and guide 9.00 am – 6.00 pm

Day 3
In the morning tour you will visit the Church on the Spilled Blood, built in the early XX century in the ‘Old Russian’ style and famous for over 7,000 m2 of glass mosaics. Then you will take a canal cruise on a private boat, which will give you a different perspective of the city’s unforgettable buildings.
Lunch with a Russian family will give you a rare chance to meet Russians “face to face”, see how they live, discuss their everyday joys and problems as well as taste home-made specialities of the Russian cuisine.
